Rovers have sealed the permanent signing of defender Cameron John on a two-year deal from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 21-year-old arrives for an undisclosed fee having spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan at the Keepmoat Stadium, making 21 appearances in all competitions and scoring three goals in the process.
Capable of playing in central defence or at left-back, John will add plenty of versatility to Darren Moore’s back-line heading into the new season.
John is eligible for selection in Rovers' Carabao Cup first round tie at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
