Jason Lokilo says he always had his heart set on a return to Rovers after a brief loan spell at the club last season.
The winger was just starting to break into the side when the season was suspended due to COVID-19, but despite having other options, the 21-year-old knew he wanted to come back to the Keepmoat Stadium.
“I always wanted to come back to Doncaster and get back with the team,” he said.
“I know the staff at Doncaster are very good and the players are very good so I always wanted to come back.
“I had a few options elsewhere but my head was focused on Doncaster and my decision was very clear and easy from the start. I’m just pleased to be back.”
Having left Crystal Palace in the summer, Lokilo believes that joining Rovers will give him an opportunity to kick on with regular first-team football.
“I want to try to score goals and get assists. I want to play a lot of games – I’m ready to start my career and kick on as much as I can,” he added.
“I’m going to give everything and try to be the best I can be to help the team and the football club.
“I can’t wait to pull the shirt on and show what I can do.”
