Brad Halliday was delighted that his first Rovers goal turned out to be the winner against Gillingham in Sky Bet League One.
The right-back’s second-half finish sealed a 2-1 victory for Darren Moore’s side at the Keepmoat Stadium.
He said: “We’ve got goals throughout the team and it was nice to get my first goal for the club, I’m really happy with it.
“It was a good reaction from us having just conceded, coming off the pitch with the winner is even better.
“I should have had another after the run I had, it’s a target of mine to get more goals and assists under my belt.”
The win over the Gills means Rovers have lost just one of their past seven league games, and Halliday wants to take advantage of the games coming up.
He added: “We were good at home last season and we’ve started the same this time around, it makes it hard for teams to come here and get something.
“It will be good going forward to play a few games at home, it means less travelling and give us an opportunity to put points on the board.”
