Moore disappointed with Hull defeat

3 December 2020

Darren Moore believes lapses in concentration prevented Rovers from taking anything from the game against Hull City in Sky Bet League One.

Goals from Josh Magennis and Tom Eaves either side of Tyreece John-Jules’ leveller secured the win for the home side at the KCOM Stadium.

He said: “It hurts that we haven’t been able to come away from the game with anything, we felt we did enough to get something.

“We had a couple of lapses in concentration that have cost us, we had some spells in the game where we created some chances.

“We came here to win the game and we’re all disappointed we couldn’t do that, we have to try and forget about it quickly with another game coming up.”

John-Jules’ second goal of the season was the highlight of a disappointing night for Rovers, and Moore feels he is edging closer to being able to start a game following his recovery from injury.

He added: “I made the substitutions because I felt the players coming on could impact the game and give us more of a threat.

“Tyreece has had the volume of training and a couple of appearances under his belt now so he’s getting closer to a start.

“The decision making comes when thinking about the number of games and not wanting to risk another injury.”
