More than 200 teddies watched Rovers beat Swindon Town on Tuesday

16 December 2020

More than 200 Rovers supporters purchased teddies in our teddy bear takeover campaign and on Tuesday evening the bears were able to watch Reece James’ brace and witness the 500th Rovers goal at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The teddy bear takeover campaign gave supporters the chance to purchase a teddy for £10 with all the bears representing them at a match.  All the teddy bears will now be donated to our partner Hallam FM’s Mission Christmas which aims to ensure all children in Doncaster have at least one present on Christmas morning. Head of marketing and communications Shaun Lockwood said: “The generosity of the supporters throughout 2020 has been incredible and the number of teddy bears sat in the stands on Tuesday evening is testament to their continued support of both the football club and the community.

“We’re looking forward to donating these bears to the Hallam FM Mission Christmas campaign and hopefully help achieve their aim of ensuring everyone has a present on Christmas morning.”
