Geoff Eltringham will be the man in charge when Rovers welcome Accrington Stanley to the Keepmoat Stadium on Boxing Day.
Eltringham last took charge of a Rovers match in August 2018 when he oversaw an away victory over Scunthorpe United in the Caraboa Cup. More recently, he was the fourth official for the home leg of the Sky Bet League One play-off semi-final against Charlton Athletic.
The man from County Durham was promoted to the National List of Referees in 2009 and since and took charge of his first Championship match in February of 2010. He regularly took charge of matches right across the three EFL divisions but has primarily been plying his trade in the second division since 2015.
In the current campaign he has taken charge of 13 games (11 championship, one League Two and one Carabao Cup) giving out 42 yellow cards and three reds.
On Boxing Day, he will be assisted by Gareth Mellor and Barry Gordon. Tom Bishop will be the fourth official.
