James Oldham will be the man in charge when Rovers welcome Shrewsbury Town to the Keepmoat Stadium in their final game before Christmas.
Oldham was in charge of Rovers' defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers U21s in the Papa John’s Trophy earlier this season. He gave out two yellow cards on that occasion both to Rovers players with Joe Wright and Danny Amos booked.
2020/21 is the Derbyshire-based official’s second season in the EFL after he was promoted to the National List of Referees in the summer of 2019. Tuesday’s match will be his 16th this season. He has so far handed out 36 bookings and two red cards.
On Tuesday, he will be assisted by David Avent and Peter Gooch. The fourth official is Oliver Bickle.
