Paul Howard will be the man in the middle when Rovers welcome Swindon Town to the Keepmoat Stadium.
Howard was promoted to the National List of Referees in the summer following several successful seasons in the National League. He was rewarded for a good 2019/20 campaign with the whistle by being given responsibility for a Football Conference play-off match in July. That match saw Boreham Wood come from behind to beat Halifax Town 2-1.
He has taken charge of 14 matches in the current campaign handing out 42 yellow cards and two reds. Tuesday will mark just the third time Howard has refereed in Sky Bet League One and the first time he has taken charge of a Rovers game.
On Tuesday, Howard will assisted by Paul Newhouse and Conor Brown. The fourth official will be David Richardson.
