Rovers will be looking to make it five straight league wins when they take on Shrewsbury Town at the Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday night.
Darren Moore’s side comfortably beat bottom of the table Burton Albion 3-1 in their last league outing.
Shrewsbury’s recent form
The Shrews have lost just one of their past six league games stretching back to a defeat at Ipswich Town in November. After that, they played out three draws against MK Dons, Accrington Stanley and Charlton Athletic respectively.
Their form has improved even further in recent weeks, with arguably their best results of the season coming with 1-0 away victories against promotion chasing Hull City and Lincoln City.
The man in charge
Former Cheltenham Town, Burnley and Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill was appointed as the new Shrewsbury boss at the end of November, replacing Sam Ricketts in the role. He has lost just one of his first six games in charge in all competitions.
Ones to watch
After beginning his career with Leicester City, Norburn got his first taste of first-team football during a loan spell with Bristol Rovers which was soon made permanent. The central midfielder joined Shrewsbury in the summer of 2018 from Tranmere Rovers, signing a three-year deal with the club.
Since then, he has gone on to become an integral part of the team and is key to what the Shrews try and do.
The experienced full-back joined Shrewsbury in the summer after eight years with AFC Bournemouth, where he played a key role in the Cherries winning promotion to and staying in the Premier League.
After impressing in the EFL with Leyton Orient, the 34-year-old joined Bournemouth in 2012 and went on to make almost 250 appearances at the Vitality Stadium. His experience has added a new dimension to the Shrews’ squad.
The former Accrington Stanley midfielder joined the Shrews from Luton Town in 2015, after helping the Hatters win promotion to the EFL.
After a difficult first six months at the club, he has gone on to become a fans favourite, with his best season to date being the 2017/18 campaign – where the winger bagged 12 goals.
Last time out
Dave Edwards’ goal 14 minutes from time sealed a 1-0 win for Shrewsbury when the two sides last met in Sky Bet League One back in February, in what was the home side’s first league win of 2020.
