Jason Lokilo was pleased to get his first minutes in a Rovers shirt when he turned out for Rovers U23s in the Central League.
The Crystal Palace loanee had a hand Rovers’ equaliser and says he was generally pleased with his performance in incredibly difficult conditions.
“The weather was crazy – it was very new for me. I haven’t played in anything like that before,” he said.
“It’s nice for me to get my first 60 minutes and I’m very happy with it. I’m feeling great.
“I’m happy to have contributed to the goal, it was a match in very tough conditions but I’m pleased to have helped the team."
The 21-year-old joined Rovers late on deadline day but says that it has been really easy to settle in in South Yorkshire.
“The boys have been great with me and I’m really happy to be here. Everyone has been good to me, everything has been simple and settling in has been easy,” he added.
“I think the club has got a great manager and it’s a club that loves to play good football.
“I still have a bit of work to do but I’m listening to the coaches and I will be ready when the gaffer needs me.”
