Josh Smith will be the man in charge when Rovers head to Gillingham on Saturday.
This is Smith’s first season in the EFL and Saturday will mark his 22nd match in the current campaign and he has so far handed out 65 yellow cards and three red.
This will be the second time the Bourne-based official has taken charge of a Rovers match – the first a 7-1 away win at Southend United. He sent two Blues players in that match (both for fouls on Jon Taylor) while Donervon Daniels was the only Rovers player to pick up a booking.
On Saturday, he will be assisted by Marc Wilson and Ryan Whitaker. Garry Maskell will be the fourth official.
