We are currently recruiting for the position of academy secretary. We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and adaptable person to join our Academy to assist with the forward plans we have in place to support all areas of the elite junior aspect of Doncaster Rovers.

The candidate will be required to have a flexible approach to working hours, including match days, events, evenings, weekends and such hours as necessary

Responsible to:

Academy manager and head of football administration & operations  

Location:

Keepmoat Stadium, Stadium Way, DN4 5JW & Elite Performance Centre Cantley DN4 6JP

Regular working hours:

Office hours are Monday to Friday 9am–5.30pm. It is expected with this post there will be weekend and unsocial hours as part of an irregular working pattern.

 

Overview of the role

We are currently recruiting for the position of academy secretary. We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and adaptable person to join our Academy to assist with the forward plans we have in place to support all areas of the elite junior aspect of Doncaster Rovers .

You will have a key role in supporting the Academy management team to plan and deliver day to day operations. The successful candidate will strive to provide the highest standard of administration, and secretarial support, while developing excellent professional relationships across the wider club and Club Doncaster family. We are looking for a committed individual who is looking to work within an adaptable and friendly environment, to maximise the impact the Academy staff can have in creating professional players and well-rounded young people.

Key skills and responsibilities include:

  •  Develop and implement an appropriate work system for personnel files and paperwork
  • Provide secretarial support to the Academy manager, and senior staff
  • To support the head of football administration & operations in all areas of Academy administration
  • Be a key member of the Academy team, supporting heads of department with administration where required
  • Developing relationships with players, parents, and all staff to become the first port of call for general queries

We are looking for an individual who has a desire and passion, to ensure that their attention to detail is recognised in day to day work. Alongside this a proactive attitude, with a keenness to get things done and go above and beyond to achieve results and contribute collaboratively. We are looking for someone able to build relationships with a diverse range of people, flexible due to the nature of the work and may have to be available on some evenings and weekends to support with events.
