Joe Wright says Rovers need to learn their lesson quickly after falling to defeat at Shrewsbury Town in Sky Bet League One.
Dave Edwards scored the only goal of the game to send Rovers home empty handed despite creating several chances at Montgomery Waters Meadow.
Wright said: “Disappointing is probably the best way to sum it up, I don’t think we got going the way we know we can.”
“We need to learn from that quickly and start trying to put some positive results together.
“The conditions showed how difficult it was first half, a lot of the play was in the air so very hard to judge.”
With promotion chasing Wycombe Wanderers next up, the centre-back says now is the time to put a run of wins together as they look to stay in touch with the top six.
He added: “Looking at the table we’re going to have to start winning games consistently.
“We’re more than capable of that as we saw around Christmas and New Year, so hopefully we can repeat that and climb the table.”
