Devante Cole says he cannot wait to get going in a Rovers shirt after joining the club from Sky Bet Championship side Wigan Athletic.
The 24-year-old has signed a deal until the end of the 2019/20 campaign, and is hoping to add goals to the side.
Cole said: “I’m happy to get the deal done and get going, it’s been a frustrating couple of weeks sorting out leaving Wigan but I’m ready to go now.
“It’s a relief to get it done, it can be difficult in January but thankfully we have come to an agreement and I’m pleased to be here.
“I spoke to the manager last week and had a good chat with him, the way the group is and the position they are in the table made it an appealing move.”
With plenty of experience under his belt at League One level, Cole believes that could come in handy in the second-half of the season.
He added: “As a striker you always want to come in and do well, even if there is that added pressure then that’s something you have to take in your stride.
“I’ve played at this level before so hopefully I can use that experience to help the boys that are already here.
“The big thing about coming here was the fact the team isn’t far away from those play-off places with half of the season to go.”
