Club Doncaster grounds staff have been making impressive progress this season with every member of the team now holding a Level Two Sports Turf certificate.
Jake Tanner, Oli Rowett, Andy Cartwright and Andrew Tonge have been working hard – under the guidance of head groundsperson Andy Thompson – to achieve the award, demonstrating the incredible progress Club Doncaster staff are making off the field.
The pitch at the Keepmoat Stadium has always been impressive and, after earning a highly commended recommendation from the EFL at the end of last season, the quality of the pitch has gone from strength to strength.
Andy Thompson said: “The progress made by the grounds staff has shown the dedication they all have to their chosen career path. The staff have worked tirelessly to complete their qualifications and they are a real asset to Club Doncaster.
“The value added to the grounds department by staff being knowledgeable, experienced and passionate is instrumental in providing the football and rugby club with quality surfaces at the stadium and the training ground.”
