Michael Pedley has been appointed as head of Foundation Phase at Rovers Academy.

He joins the club from Leeds United where he worked with the full spectrum of Academy players from pre-academy to U18s.

Pedley brings with him almost a decade of experience coaching elite academy players in both the US and the UK and is currently working towards his FA UEFA A licence.

Michael said: "I am thrilled to be starting at Doncaster Rovers Academy. This is a great community club that has a proven track record of producing accomplished footballers ready for the first team.

"I will be looking to help contribute to the successful program already in place, continuing to help local boys maximise their potential, not only as footballers but also young people."

Academy manager Tony Cook added: "We're delighted to have Michael join us at the Academy. He brings vast experience working with Academy players of all ages and will help us continue to cement the pathway from Foundation Phase to first team.

"The Foundation Phase is primarily about learning to love football and I'm sure our young players will fall in love with the game and the club while learning a lot under Michael's guidance. We're really pleased to have him on board and we're looking forward to working with him."
