Darren Moore believes Rovers will prove to be the right club at the right time for new signing Devante Cole.
The 24-year-old put pen to paper on a permanent deal with Rovers on Monday and Moore was pleased to get the striker through the door.
“I’m really pleased to have Devante on board,” said Moore.
“I wanted to bring him to the club because I think he fits the profile of the kind of player we wanted up there.
“I’m pleased for Doncaster Rovers and we’ll work with him to get him knitted into the fabric of football club.”
Cole has good experience at Sky Bet League One and recently enjoyed a successful loan in the Scottish Premier League but Moore believes Rovers playing style will give Cole the platform he needs to excel.
“Everywhere Devante’s been he’s scored goals,” Moore added.
“He has hunger and desire. I think the way we play and the style we play fits the type of player he is. We’ll integrate him into our system and then when he’s up and running, we’ll give him the chances he needs to score goals.
“We’ll create an environment where he feels that he can fulfil some of his dreams and aspirations. We feel we’re this is the right club, and the time is right for him to come here.”
