Darren Moore feels his side will rise to the occasion when they travel to face Sunderland on Friday night.

Rovers have won four of their past six league games, and head to the Stadium of Light just four points behind their opponents.

He said: “It’s a fantastic arena to go and play, its different going there for an evening game compared to a Saturday afternoon.

“It’s another hurdle that we know will be difficult but one that we have to be looking to overcome and try to win the game.

“The group of players we select will have to be on top of their game to get a result up there but that is something they are thriving on.”

After a narrow defeat to Coventry City last time out, Moore says the focus has been on a positive response in Wearside.

He added: “We don’t like losing games and feel we have been on a good run of form recently so hopefully we can continue that.

“It’s one we look forward to and a good challenge for us, we still have plenty of preparation left to do so our focus is on that.”
