Moore pleased with transfer window

31 January 2020

Darren Moore believes hard work behind the scenes has been rewarded after being able to add to his squad during the January transfer window.

The club extended the loans of Seny Dieng and Ben Sheaf until the end of the season, and have added Devante Cole, Fejiri Okenabirhie, Jacob Ramsey and Jason Lokilo to their attacking options.

Moore said: “It has been a successful window, we’ve been patient when required and waited for what we felt was the right personnel to become available.

“It has been a joint effort by everybody to bring these players in, starting at the top with the board but also Gavin Baldwin, Adam Henshall and all our staff.”

Rovers acted quickly to secure Dieng and Sheaf until the summer, with the loanees key part of a solid opening half of the campaign, before turning attention further up the pitch.

Moore added: “It was essential those two extended their loans, they’ve been pivotal players so far this season and were getting interest in terms of their clubs taking them back or others taking them on loan. So the mere fact they  both extended straight away ws great for everyone here.

“And Devante, Fej, Jacob and Jason all add different dimensions to the team with their attributes - it was key to get those kind of players in and we’ll look to integrate them into the squad as quickly as possible.”
