Moore: Rovers must maintain focus and build momentum

16 January 2020

Darren Moore wants to continue building on Rovers' momentum when Coventry City visit the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.

Rovers have three wins from three in 2020 and Moore is looking to maintain this form against Coventry, who come into the game undefeated in four.

"At this point in the season it is important that you maintain focus and keep the momentum going," said Moore.

"We have another tough and exciting game to look forward to on Saturday against Coventry, we're two teams that will be looking to get the ball down and play football.

"It will be a tough test but they all are, this is a tough division. We'll have to be at our best to beat Coventry."

The manager praised the current form of his defensive unit who have kept four clean sheets in their last five games.

"The defensive unit have been brilliant and get all the plaudits they deserve, but for me it's a whole team effort, the whole team has shared the load and they have been working together really well," he added.

"There will always be work for us to do both in and out of possession in training and I think you're now starting to see that out on the pitch with the clean sheets that we've kept.

"The clean sheets have given us a platform to build on and we continue to work on that platform."
