Ross Joyce will be the man in charge when Rovers travel to Fleetwood Town on Saturday February 1.
The Cleveland-based official has taken charge of 23 matches this season and has given out 104 yellow cards and three red.
Joyce took charge of two Rovers matches last season – both of which ended in a draw. The first was a 2-2 draw with Chorley in the Emirates FA Cup, the second a goalless draw at home against Barnsley. He also oversaw Rovers' home victory over Peterborough United earlier this season.
The official had a good 2018/19 season and was rewarded by being given the honour of overseeing the Sky Bet League Two play-off final at Wembley.
Joyce will be assisted by Matthew Jones and Alix Pashley. The fourth official will be Samuel Barrott.
