Rovers have donated a shirt in memory of Jordan Sinnott, the footballer who was killed in Retford this weekend, with defender Joe Wright paying tribute to his former team-mate.
Joe played alongside Jordan, who was 25 when he died, at U18 and U23 level for Huddersfield Town.
He said: “He was brilliant, I went in as a first year scholar and he was a second year at the time.
“He was a great character and role model, always laughing and smiling but always professional at the same time. I can’t believe he has gone, and everyone at Rovers sends their condolences to his family at this terrible time.”
The Rovers shirt, personalised with Sinnott 25 on the back, will be sent to the family in time for Jordan’s funeral then auctioned off to raise money for Sport Relief.
