Rovers U18s will face Mansfield Town U18s for the fourth time this season as they travel to the midlands’ club aiming to extend their lead at the top of the division.
The youth team come into the fixture riding high on confidence after a tantalising 6-2 victory away at Huddersfield Town last weekend. Watch the highlights.
Junior Smith bagged a hat-trick while Jack Watson scored a brace and Will McGowan chipped in from midfield.
Mansfield are one of Rovers’ title rivals this season as they sit just six points behind Stancliffe’s side with two games in hand.
This will be the fourth time these two teams have clashed this season in all competitions with Rovers winning one and coming agonisingly close in the other two.
Rovers remain the top goal scorers in their division with 32 goals to their name from 14 games. Scunthorpe is next with 21 and Mansfield has 19.
The game will take place this Saturday at R&H Academy. Kick-off 11am.
