Paul Stancliffe’s U18s will travel to Huddersfield Town for their first competitive league game of 2020.
The youth team finished 2019 with an eventful 3-2 defeat at the hands of title-rivals Scunthorpe United.
Despite the narrow loss, Rovers spent New Year at the top of the table with a satisfying 23 points to their name.
Saturday’s opposition are bottom of the division on goal difference, winning only four games from 12 this season.
The form of both sides are similar with each team securing two wins from their last five league games.
Rovers will enter the game with full confidence having previously dissembled The Terriers in October with a 4-0 victory at Cantley Park.
Huddersfield will host the game on January 25 at their first-team training ground. Kick-off 11am.
