Sadlier looking forward to facing Coventry City

17 January 2020

Kieran Sadlier is looking forward to a visit from high-flying Coventry City in Sky Bet League One on Saturday.

The Sky Blues are currently fourth in the table undefeated in four and picking up three wins in the process.

“Personally, I think that Coventry City are one of the best footballing teams we’ve played this season. It was tough at St Andrews when we played them - they played really well that day and we did well,” said Sadlier.

“We need to stick to the game plan when they come here on Saturday but I’m really looking forward to it.

“When you play a team for a second time, they know a bit more what you’re like so you’ve always have to have different plans. We work on the training pitch a lot and it’s great to see when that comes off on a Saturday and you win the game because it really feels like you’re going somewhere.”

Rovers have also had a perfect start to 2020 earning three wins and conceding no goals.

“We’ve had a brilliant start to 2020. We were focused on starting the new year with a win, and then we got the bonus of a clean sheet. Now we’ve managed to get three in a row and we’re just looking to continue that,” added Sadlier.

“We’ve got a team who work together and work hard and I think when you do that, it allows individual flare to come out.

“We’ve gelled really well together and the back four – and obviously Seny Dieng – have been brilliant. They’ve been clearing things off the line and putting in last ditch tackles and all those things come together.”
