Rovers U23s bounced back from defeat on January 7 with an impressive 1-0 win over Shrewsbury Town in the Central League Cup.
Max Watters bundled the ball home from close range off a Rovers corner in the 10th minute and that was enough to secure a win.
Both sides had chances but a solid defensive display from Rovers ensured a clean sheet and a victory.
