There is an exciting opportunity to join Club Doncaster as marketing and communications officer for the Club Doncaster Foundation.

Hours:

37 ½ hours per week.

The candidate will be required to have a flexible approach to working hours, including match days, events, evenings, weekends and such hours as necessary

Chief Operating Officer

Location:

Keepmoat Stadium, Stadium Way, DN4 5JW

Regular working hours:

Office hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm. It is expected with this post there is to expected weekends & unsocial hours as part of an irregular working pattern.

 

 

Overview of the role

We are recruiting for the position of marketing and communications officer. We are looking for a dedicated and entrepreneurial marketing and communications officer to join our dynamic and passionate team for a long term and progressive opportunity.

You will have a key role in raising the profile of all Foundation activities which will involve the marketing and communications of a wide range of work to improve the lives of the Doncaster community. We are looking for a creative individual to maximise the impact of the Foundation’s activities and provide key support to the emerging fundraising team.

 

Key skills and responsibilities shall include:

·         Develop and implement the organisations marketing and communications strategy

·         Promote all programmes, initiatives and fundraising opportunities

·         Be chiefly responsible for all social media and website content

·         Have strong brand awareness across all communication platforms

·         Support the foundation staff with the creation and design of marketing content from flyers to brochures and presentations

·         Work with the fundraising manager to promote all fundraising activities 

·         Liaise with local press and media to provide press releases and positive coverage across the local community

·         Work with our professional sports clubs to maximise the impact of our delivery and reach in Doncaster

 

Although we are flexible with regards to years’ experience we are looking for individuals who are passionate about the charity sector with a proactive attitude who are keen to “get things done” and go above and beyond to achieve results and contribute collaboratively. We are looking for someone who is confident and able to build relationships with a diverse range of people. 

You must be flexible due to the nature of the work and may have to be available on some evenings and weekends to support with events. We are looking for fantastic communicators who can listen with patience and understanding and have the maturity to be respectful of varying views and opinions. Your reporting should be clear concise and accurate.
