Rover of the Day | Lee Luscombe

16 July 2020

Lee Luscombe born July 16, 1971.

Guernsey-born Lee was at Southampton at the same time as a more famous Channel Islander, Matt Le Tissier, although Lee never played with him in the first team.

After two seasons at Brentford and a brief spell with Millwall, Lee signed for Rovers in February 1994 and became the second son of Guernsey to represent the club that season (Grant Chalmers was the other). The winger only twice finished on the winning side while at Belle Vue and was one of a number of players released at the end of the season.

Subsequently he played for Sylvans FC in Guernsey. His record was eight appearances and no goals.
