Graham Ricketts born July 30, 1939
Born in Oxford, England Youth international Graham started his career with Bristol City before spending three seasons with Stockport County.
In July 1964 he joined Rovers, one of a number of players brought in by new player-manager Bill Leivers. A midfielder with an eye for goal, Graham quickly established himself as a key member of the side.
In 1965-66, his second season, he played in every League game as Rovers secured the Division Four Championship, their first title for 16 years. The following season, his consistent performances were a highlight despite Rovers’ eventual relegation from Division Three. In March 1968 he joined Peterborough United and spent two seasons there before moving to King’s Lynn.
His Rovers record was 175 senior appearances with 18 goals.
