Jon Taylor born July 20, 1992
Liverpudlian Jon was in Wigan Athletic’s academy before joining Shrewsbury Town, where he made his Football League debut in January 2010. In five seasons with the Shropshire club he made over 140 appearances and scored 21 goals, helping them to promotion to League One in 2012. In June 2014, the winger moved to Peterborough United, where he spent the next two seasons, before going to South Yorkshire to sign for Rotherham United. He became a firm favourite at the New York Stadium, appearing in the 2017-18 League One play-off final as Rotherham beat his old team Shrewsbury to secure promotion to the Championship.
In August 2019 he signed a two-year contract with Rovers and scored in only his fourth outing, the winner in a 2-1 victory over Lincoln City.
When the 2019-20 season ended early, he had six goals from 35 senior appearances.
