Stuart Ford July 20 1971 (There were no players born on July 19)

A goalkeeper who was born in Sheffield, Stuart was an apprentice professional at Rotherham United and played in their Youth Team which won the Northern Intermediate League Cup.

He left Millmoor in 1992 after a handful of first-team appearances and signed for Scarborough, where he had previously enjoyed a successful loan spell.

In August 1993 he joined Rovers where he was largely used as cover to first-choice Andy Beasley. He made his debut as a substitute for Beasley in a 3-1 home win over Scunthorpe United in November 1993.

This was the first time Rovers had deployed a specialist substitute goalkeeper in a Football League game.

Released after only one season, he re-joined Scarborough but struggled to gain a regular place. Between 1995 and 2000 he played for non-League Gresley Rovers, where he established himself as a crowd favourite. His Rovers record was six appearances.
