Utilita to power Rovers for 2020/21 season

28 July 2020

Utilita – the UK’s leading Smart Pay As You Go Energy supplier – will remain as Rovers’ official energy partner for the upcoming 2020/21 season.

As a platinum partner, Utilita will once again feature on the club’s training wear and have a big presence at the Keepmoat Stadium. They have signed a one-year extension – the energy firm’s third consecutive season backing Rovers.

In the current uncertain climate, the partnership and backing from Utilita offers a welcome investment for the forthcoming season – providing significant funds at a crucial period.

James Heyes, partnerships manager at Utilita Energy said: “These are testing times for football clubs across the country but we believe institutions like Doncaster Rovers need our support more than ever.

"That’s why we are continuing our investment in the club as well as providing vital funds to provide the club with a sustainable future.

"As the partnership continues to develop, we are immensely proud that the Utilita logo will continue to adorn the club’s training wear and we are excited to see what 2020/21 brings both on and off the pitch.”

Head of commercial at Club Doncaster Jon Warburton added: “Utilita’s presence is constantly growing in South Yorkshire and has done significantly since we began the partnership two years ago.

“It’s fantastic to see that the relationship is growing all the time and we're pleased that they will once again be on our training gear.

“We are grateful that our partners are showing the support that they are during tough times and we can’t wait to get started for the coming season.”

Founded in 2003, Utilita Energy is one of the nation's fastest-growing independent energy suppliers – currently powering more than 800,000 UK customers. It’s established itself as a hugely-recognisable brand within British football, having supplied power to a number of iconic stadiums – including Ibrox Stadium, Selhurst Park and Villa Park – while partnering with over 20 clubs.

Centre to the new partnership will be Utilita’s Energy High 5 movement, which enables every household to use around £163 less energy each year by making five simple and free changes at home.
