Following the launch of In Rovers Supporters We Trust, everyone at Doncaster Rovers wishes to thank supporters for the overwhelming number of donations and positive messages that have been received.
Chief executive Gavin Baldwin said: “The response to the In Rovers Supporters We Trust refund strategy has shown us, once again, how special the Doncaster Rovers fans are. The messages that the Box Office have received, the reaction we have seen on social media, and the actions of our supporters have been incredible.
“This is a difficult and unprecedented time not just for our club or football but for the whole world - the way our staff, players and now fans have pulled together and supported one another has been extraordinary.
“Receiving emails with the heading donation and seeing support flood our social media channels has made many around the club emotional. We cannot thank the supporters enough for their continued support at this time.
“We completely understand that not everyone is in a position to convert their refund into a donation but wish to thank all those who have and also those who haven’t been able to but have provided their sincerest thoughts. Everyone’s support is genuinely appreciated by all at the club.”
The club would like to not only formally thank all of our supporters but specifically the supporters’ board, who helped create the In Rovers Supporters We Trust strategy.
Following a number of requests from supporters asking how else they can help the club, we will also be releasing some additional products that supporters can use as a way of supporting the club should they wish. More details will follow via the club’s website and social media.
