Everyone at Doncaster Rovers was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of lifelong supporter and Silver Membership holder Maureen Kirsopp.
Maureen had been unwell for some time but remained an ardent Rovers fan always talking about the team and checking results.
The club surprised Maureen as part of the 12 Days of Christmas project when 12 outstanding supporters were thanked by the club. Donny Dog presented her with flowers and Alfie May video called Maureen to thank her personally for her unwavering support.
The family set up a Just Giving Page in Maureen’s name after she passed with proceeds going to the Foundation - you can find the page here. We would like to thank the family for this incredible generosity.
The funeral will be held on June 10 and the cortege is due to make the same journey to the Keepmoat Stadium that Maureen made every home match day via the supporters coach.
Maureen will be missed by everyone who knew her and the thoughts of everyone across Club Doncaster are with Maureen’s friends and family at this sad time.
