Stephen Bywater born June 7, 1981
A much-travelled goalkeeper, Stephen’s career has taken in over 380 Football League games.
He was a youth player at Rochdale before signing for West Ham United, where he spent eight seasons, although he only became a regular first choice when he joined Derby County. There he played in a side that won promotion to the Premier League in 2006-07.
He signed for Rovers from Millwall in January 2015, making his debut in a 1-0 home win over Barnsley. He went on to make 21 appearances, all in League One, but was replaced towards the end of the campaign by Marko Marosi. Released at the end of the season he joined Indian team Kerala Blasters and is now back in English football with Burton Albion.
