Steve Sanders born June 2, 1978
Halifax-born Steve began his career with Huddersfield Town but left the club without making a first-team appearance.
The full-back was one of many players signed by Rovers at the start of the 1997-98 season and made his debut on the opening match of the season at Shrewsbury Town, coming on as a substitute for Wayne Dowell. He was a regular in the early part of the campaign but missed about six weeks after suffering an injury in the 0-8 defeat at Leyton Orient in December. In March he was transferred to Lincoln City, but failed to make the first team there. Later he played for Boreham Wood and Harrogate Town. His Rovers career was 28 appearances, no goals.
