More than 60 participants from Fit Rovers welcomed participants from Bradford City’s Fit Bantams, Sheffield Wednesday’s Fit Owls, and Rotherham United’s Fit Millers to take part in a day of activities including circuit training, football sessions and badminton.

“To have a day to celebrate that work, and show off what the people behind the scenes do is brilliant. The Foundation’s work is massively important,” said Blair.

“It showcases the importance of what football club does on a day to day basis and fans aren’t taken for granted – activities like this affect a lot of people in a positive way.”

Blair is ambassador for the Fit Rovers project and regularly attends sessions and he has seen the project grow over the years since it launched in 2017.

“I’ve been working for a long time with Fit Rovers and the people that I’m speaking to inspire me to implement things in my life - hopefully that works both ways,” he added.

“Three years ago, Fit Rovers was 30 strangers in a room and now they’re friends and it feels like family.”
