Jason Lokilo said he was pleased to contribute to Rovers U23s emphatic victory over Scunthorpe United on Monday.

The Crystal Palace loanee was at the heart of everything in the Central League match and with a second 90 minutes under his belt for the development side, he now feels fully fit and ready for first team action.

“I’m happy to contribute with a goal and it’s a nice win for the U23s. I felt good,” he said.

“I’m feeling fully fit now and I just want to carry on like that - working hard in training and looking to play well whenever I get a chance.

“I always want to score, give assists and be productive for the team and I was on Monday, so I’m happy.

"It was nice to get 20 minutes on Saturday for the first team too and I thought I did alright.”

Lokilo has been at the club for a month and he is enjoying his time and learning a lot from the players around him.

“I love it here. I’m working really hard in training, listening to the coaches and all the players. I want to help the team, the club, and play games,” he added.

“The players have been very good with me, I'm learning from Ben Whiteman - and James Coppinger has been great in training, he’s very tricky and I like that. I’m trying to take bits from every player.

“I know that if I work hard, I’m going to get a chance in the first team. I just want to work hard and show what I can do on the training pitch. Every time I step on the football pitch I want to make a difference.”
