FrankKeetley.jpg One of six Keetley brothers to play professional football, Frank was born in Derby on March 23 day in 1901. Starting his career at Derby County, in 1926 he followed brothers Tom, Joe and Harold in joining Rovers, although only Tom and Harold played alongside Frank at Belle Vue.

He made his Rovers debut on 28th August 1926 in a 2-2 home draw against Walsall. He scored nine goals in all competitions in his debut season. His best season for Rovers was 1929-30, when he scored 11 times, while Tom set a club record with 40. The brothers scored over two-thirds of Rovers’ League goals that season.

In November 1929 he transferred to Bradford City and later he moved on to Lincoln City, where in January 1932 he achieved the remarkable feat of scoring six goals in one half against Halifax Town. He later played for Margate and became player-manager of Worcester City, where he settled until his death in 1968.

His record for Rovers was 31 goals in 113 senior appearances.
