Dave Mulligan born on March 24 1982
Dave began his career at Barnsley, and it was from there he joined Rovers in February 2004.
He made his debut in a 2-1 win at Mansfield Town on February 21, which saw Rovers take the leadership of Division Three, a position they did not relinquish.
A classy, attacking full-back, Dave spent two more seasons at Belle Vue, playing in the team that knocked Aston Villa out of the League Cup in 2005-06, and scoring two spectacular free-kick goals in a 2-1 win over Boston United in the FA Cup that same season.
In all, he made 88 appearances for Rovers, scoring six times. In August 2006 he joined Scunthorpe United and helped them to the League One title in 2006-07. Capped by New Zealand at age group and full levels, he won six of his 28 full caps while with Rovers.
Dave now lives in New Zealand and works as a football coach.
