Terry Curran born March 20 1955.
Terry was born in Kinsley, near Hemsworth and signed for Rovers in July 1973 having played for Kinsley Boys.
The tricky winger made his first-team debut on 29th September 1973 in a 5-1 defeat at Gillingham. He appeared in Rovers’ Third Round FA Cup Replay against Liverpool at Belle Vue.
The following season, 1974-75, he made 44 League appearances, scoring seven goals and providing a useful supply line for strikers Brendan O’Callaghan and Peter Kitchen.
In August 1975 Brian Clough signed him for Nottingham Forest in a deal which involved cash and two players. He spent two seasons at Forest, then moved on to a number of other clubs, including Derby County, Southampton, Sheffield Wednesday and Everton.
For Rovers, he made 75 appearances, scoring 11 goals.
