Rovers Academy to host first annual Coppinger Cup an U7s football festival for grass roots and school boys teams in Doncaster.
The tournament will take place from 10am-1pm on May 17 at the Club Doncaster Sports Park and will be a 32 team 5-a-side tournament for U7 football teams.
Entry to the competition is free and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Closing date for entries is Tuesday March 31 2020.
Competition rules:
1. All players must be U7 (season 2019/20)
2. The tournament will be played according to the official FA rules
3. Games will be 1 x 12 mins and will start/finish on one central whistle
4. Games will be played in the format of 5v5 (4 outfield + 1GK) – max 8 players per team
5. Games will be played on a 40 yards x 30 yards pitch
6. All games will be played with a size 3 football
7. 3 points awarded for a win, 1 point awarded for a draw
8. If teams are equal on points after the final group game, the following criteria will place teams:
i. Goal difference
ii. Most goals scored
iii. Result of head-to-head game played in the group game
iv. Sudden death penalty kicks
9. No offsides to be awarded
10. Goalkeepers are not permitted to pick up back passes
