Rovers U23s have been drawn away to West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League Cup round of 16.

Due to limited venue availability, the match will take place on Friday March 6 at Hednesford Town’s home ground Key’s Park (WS12 2DZ). The match will kick-off at 7pm.

Rovers had an impressive run to the knockout stages which included home and away victories over previous competition champions Aston Villa U23s and will now test themselves against a West Brom side who topped group C.

Like Rovers, the Baggies won four of their six group games losing to Newcastle United and Hull City. Rovers will enter the match full of confidence after a comprehensive victory over Scunthorpe United on Monday.

Tickets for this match will be available on the day from the Hednesford Town ticket office and are priced as follows:

Adults: £5
Concessions: £1
Season Membership holders: free of charge

Season Membership holders of Rovers, West Bromwich Albion and Hednesford Town will get free admission to the game by showing their season ticket at the gate.

The referee for this match will be Scott Jackson. He will be assisted by Christopher Myatt and Matthew Scholes. The fourth official will be Dean Steatham.

This is the first of two matches Rovers will play against West Bromwich Albion with Gary McSheffrey’s side also due to face the Baggies in the Central League Cup on March 11. The Central League Cup match will be played behind closed doors.
