Len Martin born May 15, 1947
Born in Ludlow, striker Len joined Aston Villa as an apprentice in 1962, making his League debut in May 1967.
Despite his long service at Villa Park he was never a regular and made only 57 senior appearances for the Birmingham club.
In March 1971, along with defender Lew Chatterley, he was loaned to Rovers and Len made his debut on 13th March in a 2-1 home win over Wrexham. In the next game, at Port Vale, he was substituted due to injury and did not figure again for Rovers. In 1972 Villa transferred him to Worcester City and subsequently he played for Bromsgrove Rovers
