Neil Morris born May 3, 1970
A member of the Rovers Youth Team that reached the 1988 final of the FA Youth Cup, Sheffield-born Neil was released without making a first team appearance.
He joined York City, where he made four League appearances in 1988-89, then moved on to Worksop Town. In February 1992 Rovers manager Steve Beaglehole, Neil’s former Youth Team coach, signed him on non-contract forms and on 29th February 1992 he appeared as a substitute in a 0-1 home defeat to Walsall. That was to be his only outing for Rovers and he soon re-joined Worksop.
