Darren Moore says his squad will have to be flexible as they continue through a busy period in Sky Bet League One.
The manager has rotated his squad wisely in recent weeks, and says the qualities of players recruited in the summer have helped that.
He said: “We felt that the type of players we recruited needed to be able to play and different positions with the season we have.
“We spoke about them having to sacrifice themselves for the team and we’ve seen that already over the course of the last few games.
“It’s important for us to keep our standards high and look to improve as each game goes by, that is always the key message.”
Rovers face AFC Wimbledon next up in the Dons’ first game back at Plough Lane, and Moore believes his team have to focus on the task in hand.
He added: “It’s great for Wimbledon being back at Plough Lane and a lot of work has gone into that, but for us we just focus on the task in hand.
“They’re a team that are very much improving all the time, we know what we’re about and how we need to play to our strengths.”
