No shift in mentality for Moore

28 November 2020

Darren Moore says his side will approach the Emirates FA Cup tie at Carlisle United in the same way they would any league game.

Rovers travel to Brunton Park for the second round tie on Sunday, and the manager says preparation will be key.

He said: “There will be no mentality change from us, we’ll approach it in the same detail as we would any league game.

“They’re a very good team and they’re well organised, it will be a difficult game for us so we have to make sure we’re on it.

“We’ll prepare the team and give them all the information they need on Carlisle and the areas we can hurt them.”

Having given his players extra time to recover in the build-up to the game, he has been pleased with the work done since they returned to training.

He added: “Working with the players every day I get to see their willingness to learn and they are all a joy to work with.

“I’m pleased with what I’ve seen since Tuesday, they have an appetite to work on the areas we felt needed improving.

“The lads had a couple of days off to recover, with the schedule as it is we wanted to allow them that time.”
