Darren Moore says Rovers will treat the trip to FC United of Manchester the same as they would any other.
Rovers travel to Broadhurst Park in the Emirates FA Cup first round, and the manager says they will focus on the game and not the occasion.
He said: “We know what the FA Cup does for the clubs in the lower divisions and if you can get a good run it can stand the club in good stead.
“For us as a team looking ahead to the game, we’re preparing exactly the same as we would for any other with the same respect and detail.
“We’ll alter things with the late kick-off but we’ll still work with the same intensity and focus ourselves on the task in hand.”
With the game being broadcast live on BBC Two, Moore is pleased more fans will be able to enjoy the game while not being allowed into the stadium.
He added: “If the fans had been there it would have been sold out, I’ve heard all about the atmosphere there but I’m pleased it’s on national tv so fans can tune in.
“What it is and what it brings is great but we can only control what is in front of us and that is winning the tie.”
