Rovers have joined forces with Matchday Info to digitalise the 2020/21 matchday programme.
From Saturday November 21, the club’s matchday programme will move online, with season ticket holders receiving free access to the new digital product for all of Rovers’ remaining home league games.
The club will continue to honour their commitments to supporters who have already paid for a physical programme to be hand delivered to their door and will also continue to provide the Doncaster Rovers supporters club with a set of programmes for their regular collectors.
The new digital programme will be hosted on the free Matchday Info app with each issue costing just £1.99 to download for non-season ticket holders.
A “how to” guide for downloading the app can be found here while the app itself can be downloaded using the links below.
Group head of marketing and communications Shaun Lockwood said: “At the beginning of the season we committed to producing the programme on a made-to-order basis, undertaking a review at the end of October. Having tracked sales to date, the programme has unfortunately been operating at a loss with less than 100 supporters per game choosing to purchase a hard copy.
“The new digital programme provides an opportunity for us to gift the programme moving forward to season ticket holders, something we couldn’t have done via a printed version. We continue to look for ways to thank supporters for their continued patience and support in these unprecedented times and hopefully this small gesture will be appreciated.
“By taking the product online we will also be able to develop exciting, dynamic content such as pop out video interviews in future issues and this will help provide new commercial opportunities for that content too.”
