Rovers’ U18s suffered a harsh defeat away at Rotherham United in the EFL Youth Alliance League.
Rovers initially led 2-1 through goals from Ethan Bojang and Alek Wolny but their hard work was undone by a late fight back from the Millers which included a late penalty to help secure them the win.
There’s a chance for Paul Stancliffe’s side to quickly react to this defeat as their rearranged game against Grimsby Town takes place away from home on November Tuesday 24 at 11am behind closed doors.
The young Mariners have only managed to play to two games this season due to postponements. In those two games they are undefeated picking up one win and one draw.
